SCOTTISH MICROBIOLOGY SOCIETY

SMS is a small society promoting many of the diverse aspects of microbiology among its members. As a member of SMS you are entitled to several key benefits. Firstly, all paid members will gain free registration to bi-annual symposia, which are held at different locations throughout Scotland.   Secondly, as an affiliated society of FEMS, students will have the opportunity to apply for FEMS Research Fellowship. These are designed to assist young scientists in pursuing research up to 3 months in a European country different from that in which she/he lives. For details see the adjacent FEMS link:

 

Membership fees are as follows:

Full member: £10

Student/trainee: £5
