The Scottish Microbiology Society (SMS) was founded in 1993 with the aim of promoting microbiology within Scotland, and to provide the opportunity for both trainee and student microbiologists to meet and present their research in a friendly environment. This is fostered through our mission statement. Mission Statement "To provide a scientific and social forum for microbiologists in Scotland and through it promote and foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge from all sections of the scientific community involved in microbiology in Scotland" For more information please refer to our constitution.
