SMS Is A Great Resource for Budding Researchers and Students As Well
Not only does the Scottish MIcrobiology Society promote the interaction of microbiological scientists and academic researchers, but it’s also a great resource for Secondary and Uni students, too. The SMS is a perfect place to mingle with established microbiologists, learn about cutting-edge research in Scotland, and possibly make new friends who share similar interests and a passion for science. Membership for students is extremely reasonable and interaction within the scientific community is an excellent way to make contacts for your future career – not to mention that a membership to SMS looks fantastic on a CV!
